Ukrainian defenders showed battles for gas production towers in the Black Sea.
On October 5, border guards released exclusive footage of battles for gas production rigs in the Black Sea. Control over some of these objects was restored. The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
The State National Security Service noted that through the titanic efforts of the defenders, part of these strategically important objects, serving as our sea fortresses, was captured and taken under control. The maintenance of the so-called Boyko towers makes it possible to control a significant part of the Black Sea and strengthen defense.
The published video shows the work of the special forces of the border guards together with units of the Main Intelligence Directorate. After planning the operation, soldiers can be seen storming the captured towers from boats.
As you know, the so-called Boyko towers were occupied by the Russians in 2014, and with the start of a full-scale invasion they were used for military purposes as helipads and to house radar equipment.
Let us recall that in August, the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Sivash and Pyotr Godovanets gas rigs, which are still controlled by the Russian Armed Forces in the Black Sea. The fire on these towers was visible from space.
