Georgia’s pro-Russian ruling party, Georgian Dream, leads the opinion poll, but will not get an absolute majority. If pro-European opposition political forces unite, they can create a coalition. The results of the survey were published on Friday, October 4, by the Formula TV channel.
Thus, 33% of respondents are ready to vote for the current government, which has taken some anti-Western and anti-democratic measures. All pro-European opposition political forces get significantly less, but together they are capable of creating a coalition.
The 5 percent barrier was overcome by the Unity bloc, the Coalition for Change, the Strong Georgia and Gakharia – For Georgia parties. If the agreements are successful, they will have about 55% of the mandates.
We remind you that the next parliamentary elections will take place on October 26, 2024. For the first time they will be held exclusively according to the proportional system. The passage barrier will be 5%.
