Russian troops attacked a substation in the Sumy region, resulting in six workers being injured. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy on Friday, October 4.
In the Sumy region, as a result of shelling on the territory of a substation, a building was damaged, which led to a blackout of substations, household consumers and one of the energy facilities. Power has been restored.
“At the same time, six workers received injuries in the explosion. All victims were taken to the hospital,” the statement said.
Another power engineer was injured in the Kharkov region. An electrician stepped on a mine while performing work and sustained a lower limb injury. The victim was taken to the hospital.
During the day, due to shelling, there was a power outage in Donetsk, Kirovograd, Sumy, Kharkov, Kherson and Chernihiv regions. In the Dnepropetrovsk region, during an inspection of the territory of a substation, an unexploded shell was discovered. Specialists took it.
Earlier it was reported that emergency power outages were introduced in Sumy and Poltava regions.
