In the city of Kupyansk, Kharkov region, which constantly suffers Russian attacks, not a single intact house remains.
The head of the Kupyansk district military administration, Andrei Kanashevich, stated this on air at a national telethon, the Ukrinform agency reports.
If you drive around the city now, you won’t see a single house. At least there are no windows. There is damage to roofs and walls. This is not the Kupyansk that it was two years ago after de-occupation,” Kanashevich emphasized.
The destruction continues. The massive shelling that is currently being carried out does not allow us to quickly at least preserve the consequences that were caused over the past week. Of course, there are problems. And we can’t risk people,” he added.
At the same time, utility workers are trying to maintain the life support of the city, although this is becoming more and more difficult every day.
There is water. We are trying to supply gas and electricity as quickly as possible. People are still staying, despite the fact that mandatory evacuation has been announced,” noted the head of the RVA.
According to him, about 3 thousand residents remain on the right bank of the city (the population of Kupyansk before the Russian invasion was 27 thousand).
