Due to Russia’s shelling, the northern part of the Donetsk region has been left without water supply for an indefinite period. This was announced by the head of the OBA Vadim Filashkin on Telegram on Thursday, October 3.
“Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka and nearby settlements, where about 260 thousand people live, will have problems with water supply due to massive enemy shelling,” he wrote.
According to the official, on September 28, the Russians critically damaged two objects of the Voda Donbass control post. Due to the large amount of damage, there is no technical possibility to restore the operation of the equipment.
“The OVA, together with the local authorities, is working to establish alternative water supply options. Currently, technical water is temporarily provided from drinking water in the river of the Voda Donbassa control station, ” added Filashkin.
Earlier on Thursday it became known about emergency shutdowns in the Sumy region, which also affected the city of Sumy. Ukrenergo later activated emergency shutdowns in two other regions due to Russian attacks.
