“Today, the Russian army launched another brutal missile strike. It was a supersonic cruise anti-ship missile. It hit an ordinary residential building in the Odessa region. Such missiles were created to destroy the aircraft carriers and other large warships, ”Zelensky said.
He said the blow was unintentional. “This is not an accidental strike, because the media in the Russian Federation is talking about it. It is a target missile strike of Russia, fear of Russia, let’s be honest, against our cities and villages, against our people, old and young, “the president said.
According to the State Emergency Service, 8 people were rescued at the scene, including 3 children,
“8 people were rescued, including 3 children (7 people – a residential building, 3 of them were children, and 1 person – a recreation center),” the message said.
So far, 21 people are known to have died (16 people – a residential building and 5 people – a recreation center, including 1 child), 39 people were injured.
237 people and 53 pieces of equipment were involved in the work, of which 146 people and 18 pieces of equipment were from the State Emergency Service.
Recall that in the Odessa region there was an enemy missile strike. The shells hit an apartment building and two recreation centers.
Russia continues to say it is not attacking civilian targets.
