In Dnepr, the spouses of FSB agents who spied on Ukrainian air defense and set fire to Ukrzaliznytsia facilities were detained.
A 40-year-old man and his 36-year-old wife acted in tandem with a clear division of “responsibilities.”
The woman tried to identify the combat positions of anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations of the Ukrainian troops.
She passed on the information received to her husband, and then he sent the FSB intelligence information via messenger.
And her husband was involved in arson. He burned down a relay cabinet on one of the main railway lines in the region. In the future, the defendant was supposed to continue a series of arson attacks on strategically important Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in order to disrupt the transport logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eastern and southern directions.
According to investigators, the defendants began collaborating with the Russian intelligence service in June of this year. First, the FSB recruited the husband remotely, and he also recruited his wife.
The traitor faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property, and his accomplice faces eight years in prison, the SBU reported.
