The state budget for 2025 has allocated 42.3 billion hryvnias for the payment of housing subsidies and benefits. This amount is equal to the expected expenditure on subsidies and benefits in 2024.
The funds included in the 2025 budget are sufficient to ensure that all those in need receive assistance from the state. Currently, about 2.8 million families benefit from subsidies. This was announced on Tuesday, October 1, on the website of the Ministry of Social Policy.
The ministry noted that the Pension Fund will automatically calculate payments taking into account the length of the heating period.
“That is, there is no need to apply anywhere else,” the Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes.
The department also noted that there are no changes in the formula for calculating subsidies or in the procedure for assigning them.
It was previously reported that the government predicts a reduction in the number of recipients of housing subsidies and benefits by 400 thousand households by 2025.
