Circus performer Anna Petrenko protested at the International Circus Arts Festival in Italy because of a Russian on the jury.
As it turned out, on the eve of the competition, the organizers included among the judges the son of the Soviet clown Yuri Nikulin – Maxim, who supports the policies of Vladimir Putin.
A circus festival is currently taking place in Italy. This year, artists from 22 nationalities were invited, including artists from Ukraine. For the first time during the festival, the jury chair was presented to the representative of Russia, Maxim Nikulin, director of the Moscow State Circus.

The girl took the stage with a Ukrainian flag and leaflets with the inscription “Nikulin supports the invasion of Ukraine.”
The organizers regarded this as a violation of the regulations and “spreading propaganda,” which is why the girl was disqualified on the eve of the final.
