The US Department of Defense will spend funds on the production of small caliber bombs for Bulgaria, Ukraine and Japan.
The US Department of Defense allocated $6.9 billion to Boeing for the production of small caliber bombs. Weapons will also be sent to Ukraine. This was learned on Monday, September 30, from a contract published on the website of the US Department of Defense.
According to the document, almost seven billion dollars were allocated for the production of small-caliber bombs for Bulgaria, Ukraine and Japan.
“Work under the contract is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2035,” the Pentagon said.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense signed a contract with the defense industrial corporation Lockheed Martin worth $2.1 billion for the production of submarine-launched Trident II D5 intercontinental ballistic missiles with new nuclear warheads.
The US Department of Defense reported on September 26 that since the start of Joe Biden’s presidency, the United States has sent more than $59.3 billion in military aid to Ukraine, including $58.7 billion since the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia in February 2022.
Earlier, the media reported that the United States may send Ukraine cruise bombs Joint Standoff Weapon (AGM-154) for F-16 aircraft. This bullet can hit targets at a distance of more than 110 kilometers.
The United States announced the allocation of a new arms package to Ukraine worth $75 million. This includes air-to-ground ammunition. Apparently, we are talking specifically about AGM-154.
