We are talking about Lviv, Volyn, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Rivne regions.
In Norway, from September 27, the automatic reception of protection for Ukrainian refugees from six regions of Ukraine – Lviv, Volyn, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Rivne – was canceled. This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in connection with the Norwegian government.
It is noted that the Directorate for Foreigners (UDI) considers these areas safe, so people entering the country from there will be subject to an individual assessment of their protection needs and may be denied asylum.
These changes are necessary for the control and consistency of migration processes, as well as for the additional possibility of equal assistance to Ukrainians. They do not apply to persons who have already received temporary protection in Norway and their close relatives, as well as to persons offered medical evacuation in Norway (Medevac patients) and, accordingly, to their companions relatives
We remind you that Norway’s Justice Minister Emilia Enger Mehl said that the country is facing a refugee crisis and is forced to save not only Ukrainians, but also refugees from other countries. Therefore, Norway began to deny temporary protection to Ukrainian refugees arriving in the country from “safe” regions or those who did not live in Ukraine at the beginning of the war.
It was also reported that in Germany the number of Ukrainians under temporary protection in the country has decreased significantly.
