The Israel Defense Forces attacked the center of Beirut.
The strikes took place in the Kola district – a UAV attacked an apartment in the central Kola district belonging to members of the Lebanese Islamist group Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya, also known as the Islamic Group, who are allies of Hezbollah. This was reported by CNN, Reuters, AFP and the Associated Press.
Three members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine were killed. The group said the victims of the attack were military security chief Mohammad Abdel-Aal, military commander Imad Odeh and Abdelrahman Abdel-Aal.
This is the first strike to take place within Beirut during the current escalation. Before this, the IDF attacked mainly the southern outskirts of the Lebanese capital, where Hezbollah facilities are located, and other areas of Lebanon.
As you know, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is a paramilitary organization advocating the creation of an independent Palestine. It is recognized as a terrorist organization in the USA, Canada, the European Union, Great Britain and Israel.
Let us recall that on September 28, the Israel Defense Forces announced the liquidation of another Hezbollah leader, Nabil Kauk, who was the commander of the “preventive security unit” and a high-ranking member of the central council of the terrorist group.
