On the night of September 30, the enemy attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles and attack UAVs. The enemy launched the Iskander-M ballistic missile from the occupied Crimea, the Kh-59/69 KAR from the occupied Zaporozhye, the Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the Black Sea, and 73 Shaheda missiles from the areas of Kursk, Yeisk, and Orel. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the PS and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack. Air defense operated “in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnitsa, Kirovograd, Zhitomir, Poltava, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk and Nikolaev regions.
The sky defenders managed to shoot down one X-59/69 guided missile and 67 Shahed type kamikaze drones.
The Air Force said that one Shahed flew in the direction of Belarus, and three more were locally lost in the northern regions of Ukraine as a result of counteraction to electronic warfare. At the time of publication of the news, one UAV remained in Ukrainian airspace, and combat work continued.
Let us remind you that the Russian Federation attacked Kyiv with Shahed-type attack drones for five hours. Loitering ammunition entered the capital at night, in waves and in different directions. Air defense destroyed all enemy UAVs that threatened the city.
