In Lutsk, at the Korsakov Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art, the opening of the largest painting in the world took place.
The corresponding art object “Cosmogony” consists of more than 500 parts and nine fragments. This was reported today, September 29, by the press service of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy of the Verkhovna Rada.
Congratulations to the author of this unique work – Peter Antip, a talented artist from Gorlovka, whose skill and vision became the basis of this majestic work of art. His works are the voice of inner freedom, breaking through challenges and difficulties, leaving behind a trail of light and hope,” emphasized First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Irina Konstankevich.
“Cosmogony” takes viewers into a world of deep reflections on the nature of existence, the birth of stars and galaxies, as well as man’s place in the infinite cosmos. The works presented at the exhibition are filled with philosophical symbols and reflect a modern view of the interaction of humanity with the outside world, she added.
Konstankevich also noted the museum’s leaders, the Korsakov family, for their support and development of contemporary Ukrainian art.
Thanks to their dedicated work and deep love for culture, we can witness such significant events,” she said.
The work was included in the list of national records in the “art” category (the largest work of painting in Ukraine).
