On September 28, the Russian army twice attacked a hospital in Sumy with Shaheds.
The shelling caused significant destruction and damage to the buildings of medical institutions, and several fires broke out. After the evacuation of people from the hospital, when rescuers were fighting the fire, information was received about the threat of a second strike. The State Emergency Service employees managed to retreat. The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region reported this on Facebook.
The second enemy UAV hit near the epicenter of the incident between two five-story residential buildings. Residents were evacuated from damaged residential buildings and fires were eliminated.
The State Emergency Service brought in special equipment to carry out high-altitude work. Emergency restoration work is still ongoing.
