A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Rivne region.
On the morning of September 28, a truck with a tank crashed into a checkpoint on the Kyiv-Kovel-Yagodin highway, on the border between Rivne and Zhytomyr regions. The truck was driven by a 64-year-old native of Kremenchug. This was reported to the Rivne region police.
A 40-year-old policeman died in a traffic accident. Two more people were injured: a 28-year-old dog handler and a 27-year-old soldier were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Also, as a result of the accident, the official car of a community police officer was damaged, but the law enforcement officer himself was not injured.
The tank was filled with gas; fortunately, it did not depressurize.
The driver of the tanker truck received minor injuries. Investigators detained him in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Let us remind you that on September 9, a fatal accident involving military personnel occurred in the Lviv region. On the Kyiv-Chop highway within the village of Dorogovizh, the driver of a Mercedes passenger bus collided with a Renault road train. Then the bus driver died and nine passengers were injured.
