In the Prilutsky district of the Chernigov region, law enforcement officers exposed a drug laboratory that produced psychotropic substances on an industrial scale. A drug dealer who produces up to 30 kilos of drugs per month is in prison. The press service of the National Police reported this on Friday, September 27.
During the search, a large amount of finished goods and equipment was seized. The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison.
The police removed a drug laboratory built by an attacker in a private house in one of the villages of Prilutsky district to hide illegal activities. The capacity of the drug laboratory made it possible to synthesize psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities.
During the search, law enforcement officers discovered and seized ready-to-use batches of psychotropics – a crystalline substance similar to Alpha-PVP salts wrapped in bags, weighing approximately about nine kilos. Its value at black market prices is 4.5 million hryvnias.
Also seized was the substance PVP in various amorphous-crystalline states in plastic buckets of various sizes, 14 plastic barrels with a capacity of 50 liters each, 16 plastic canisters, a 200-liter metal barrel and two plastic buckets full of chemical reagents. In addition, the police obtained a large amount of precursors and substances, laboratory equipment for the production of psychotropics, packaging materials and other material evidence of the drug dealer’s criminal activities.
The offender faces imprisonment for nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing.
