Vice President Kamala Harris met with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. The politician assured additional support for Ukraine in the military and political direction. This was learned on Thursday, September 26, in a broadcast from the White House.
Harris said that “no one can end the war without Ukraine’s involvement,” but there is “somebody” in the US who wants Ukraine to give up most of its own territory, agree to neutrality and “give up relations its security in other countries”.
“These proposals are similar to Putin’s demands but they are not proposals for peace – they are proposals for surrender,” he said in a speech to President Zelensky.
The presidential candidate called support for Ukraine a strategic interest of the United States and told Zelensky that the United States shares his vision to end the war.
Harris said Putin’s next target could be NATO members if Russian aggression cannot be stopped.
