Comedian Anton Stenyuk apologizes for joke about “killing Muslims” after criticism.
He said that he had already deleted the video of the joke from social media and the relevant part of the speech, which was published on YouTube.
One of my jokes was inappropriate and unacceptable, and I deeply regret that I could have offended many people, including representatives of the Muslim community. I did not intend to humiliate or insult anyone on religious grounds, Stenyuk said.
Stenyuk stirred up the entire Internet and even human rights activists by “joking” about the murder of Muslims in his stand-up.
This war is just nonsense. I don’t know how it happened that some Orthodox Christians are killing other Orthodox Christians when there are still so many Muslims in the world. I’m not saying that Muslims should be killed. I’m a reasonable person. I understand that now is not the time and, moreover, the Jews are already doing this. Nevertheless… – the comedian says during his performance.
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets sent a letter to the National Police regarding an investigation and initiation of criminal proceedings on the fact of inciting religious hatred.
Here’s a video of the comedian’s forgiveness:
