On the morning of September 26, the Russians launched Kinzhal missiles from MiG31-K aircraft. After a while, the sounds of explosions were heard in several regions of Ukraine: Starokostiantyniv, Kyiv.
However, the capital’s authorities officially reported that there were no incoming aircraft or air defense activity around Kyiv.
The public monitor explained that the sounds of explosions that you heard in different areas, which coincided with the trajectory of the Kinzhal missiles, are the sounds of breaking the sound barrier.
The missile flies at almost hypersonic speed at the final stage, accordingly along its movement, and this is usually the Chernihiv, Kiev, Zhitomir, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions, loud sounds are heard.
Additional sounds from attempts to intercept targets in certain regions cannot be ruled out.
