Moldova will hold presidential elections next month, with 11 candidates registered. The country’s election commission announced this on Tuesday, Reuters reports.

According to the polls, Sandu is in the lead, ahead of other contenders, especially former Prosecutor General Alexander Stoianoglo, who is supported by pro-Russian forces, and Renato Usatii, who has called for balance in relations with both the West and Moscow .
