The battle for control over this enterprise lasted more than a week. The Russians carried out intensive shelling. And the infidels at the plant also put up serious resistance, but the Ukrainian military completed the task. An officer of the special unit “Timur” of the Main Intelligence Directorate with the call sign Viking told about this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, the GUR fighters at the Volchansk Aggregate Plant captured almost 20 Russian occupiers. Several dozen more invaders were eliminated. Also, four Russians tried to leave the plant and were neutralized along its perimeter.
Let us recall that on September 24, the GUR conducted an operation as a result of which the Russian occupiers managed to knock out all the buildings of the aggregate plant in Volchansk. The fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out a systematic clearing of the plant buildings, constantly engaging in contact battles with the enemy in densely built-up areas. In some cases, Ukrainian special forces engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy.
