The head of military intelligence awarded the fighters of the Stugna, Paragon, Yunger and RDK units, which are now part of the Timur special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, while in the area of combat operations, awarded the special forces that participated in the evacuation of the Volchansky Aggregate Plant with awards from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region. The GUR press service reported this on Wednesday, September 25.
In particular, the head of military intelligence awarded the fighters of the Stugna, Paragon, Yunger and RDK units, now part of the Timur special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The defenders received medals “For Military Merit”.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate specifically addressed the soldiers who participated in the operation at the integrated plant.
“The courage and heroism you showed in this work deserve the highest marks never before in our history,” said Budanov.
We remind you that on September 24, the special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Military District completely liberated the territory of the Volchansky Aggregate Plant, destroyed dozens of fighters from selected enemy units and replenished the exchange fund among prisoners. Currently, the territory of the plant has been transferred to the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On the night of May 10, Russian troops launched an offensive in the north of the Kharkov region. The invaders captured about 10 villages, mainly in the “gray zone” and began to fight for the city of Volchansk. At this point their development stops.
And in June, President Vladimir Zelensky said that Russia did not implement the Kharkov operation.
The day before, Russian losses became known after the start of the offensive in the Kharkov region.
