The Cabinet of Ministers approved a new Procedure for the appointment and payment of a one-time benefit in the event of death or disability of certain categories of persons in accordance with the law “On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection.”
Now you can submit an application for the appointment and payment of a one-time benefit to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in electronic or paper form, as well as through “Action”.
Thus, according to the resolution of September 24, 2024 No. 1090, one-time financial assistance is assigned and paid:
- in the event of death (passage) or declaration of missing persons – from the date of death indicated on the death certificate, or from the date of entry into force of the court decision declaring the person missing;
- in case of establishing disability – from the date indicated in the certificate of the medical and social expert commission.
A one-time benefit in the event of death is assigned and paid to family members of the deceased (deceased) defender of Ukraine in the amount of 750 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons on January 1 of the calendar year in which the persons died. Currently, the subsistence minimum is 3028 UAH. That is, the payment is 2 million 710 thousand UAH.
A one-time benefit in the event of disability due to injury, contusion, mutilation or illness is assigned and paid to persons with disabilities due to war, depending on the disability group, in the following amounts:
- 400 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons – in case of establishing disability of group I (1 million 211 thousand hryvnia);
- 300 subsistence minimums – in case of establishing disability group II (984 thousand hryvnia);
- 250 subsistence minimums – in case of establishing disability group III (757 thousand hryvnia).
