The former President of the United States repeatedly promised to quickly end the war in Ukraine after winning the presidential election.
US presidential candidate Donald Trump, commenting on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to New York, called him “the best salesman in history,” because allegedly after each visit to the United States, the Ukrainian president will return “with 60 billion dollars.” Bloomberg reported this on Monday, September 23.
“I see that Zelensky is here. “I think Zelensky is the biggest salesman in history: every time he comes to the country, he brings $60 billion,” Trump said at a rally Monday in Pennsylvania.
He added that Zelensky seemed to “strongly” want his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, to win the election.
Trump has said that if he wins the election, he will call the President of Ukraine and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and urge them to conclude an agreement to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“If I win this election, the first thing I’m going to do is call Zelensky and President Putin and say, ‘You have to make a deal, this is crazy,'” Trump said.
Let’s recall that on September 22, Zelensky announced that he came to the United States to participate in the events of the UN General Assembly. He noted that in the United States he will present Ukraine’s victory plan to all the leaders of the partner countries. He will also introduce it to both parties in Congress and to US presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
