Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky began his visit to the United States, where he, in particular, should present his plan for winning the war to American President Joe Biden.
The war with Russia is coming to a close faster than many people think. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this on Monday, September 23, in an interview on ABC News with Good Morning America host Robin Roberts.
“I think we are closer to peace than people think. We are closer to the end of war,” he said.
At the same time, the Ukrainian leader asked his allies to step up support for the Ukrainian army.
“The plan for victory is to strengthen Ukraine. That’s why we ask our friends, our allies to strengthen us. This is very important,” said Zelensky.
Zelensky also called on the US and UK to lift restrictions on the use of long-range missiles they have provided to Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia. According to him, only from a “strong position” will Ukraine be able to force Putin to end the war.
Let’s recall that on September 22, Zelensky announced that he came to the United States to participate in the events of the UN General Assembly. He noted that in the United States he will present Ukraine’s victory plan to all the leaders of the partner countries. He will also introduce it to both parties in Congress and to US presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
