Officially, any intelligence collected is sent only to NATO countries, but some of these countries quickly share information with Ukraine, allowing them to repel attacks.
British reconnaissance planes in the Black Sea collect information about the start of Russian strikes and send them to NATO and Kyiv. The UK Defense Journal reported this on Sunday, September 22.
“Officially, any intelligence collected is sent only to NATO countries, but everyone knows that some of these countries quickly share information with Ukraine, which allows them to repel incoming attacks by Russia, said a former British officer on condition of anonymity.
The UK uses RC-135W Rivet Joint aircraft for this, and during flights they are accompanied by Eurofighter Typhoon fighters.
As already written, Britain allowed Ukraine to fire Storm Shadow missiles into the Russian Federation.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer instructed the country’s National Security Council to develop a plan for expanded support for Ukraine.
