Russia will not participate in the second peace summit on Ukraine, which Kyiv plans to hold before the end of 2024. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Representatives of Russia have not participated in any meetings within the framework of the “Bürgenstock process” and do not intend to participate. This process itself has nothing to do with the settlement, – the press drunkard of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
According to her, the goal of the new summit is to “pull forward the absolutely unviable ‘Zelensky formula’ as an uncontested basis for resolving the conflict,” to gain the support of the “global majority” and “in its name to present Russia with an ultimatum to capitulate.”
We will not participate in such “summits,” Zakharova stated.
At the same time, she added that Moscow “is not abandoning the political and diplomatic resolution of the crisis” and is ready to discuss “truly serious proposals that take into account the situation ‘on the ground’ and the emerging geopolitical realities.”
According to Zakharova, without Russia and “taking into account its interests,” it is impossible to achieve a “fair and sustainable settlement.”
Moscow terrorists demand that Ukraine withdraw its troops from those parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions that Russia does not control, and also refuse to join NATO.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kyiv’s allies agree that representatives of the Russian side should be invited to the second peace summit.
At the beginning of November, the entire plan will be ready. This will be the start and foundation for talking in any format with Russia. In any format, with any of its representatives, because there will be a plan and something to show, Zelensky noted.
