The IDF said they found about 85 shells that flew from Lebanon into Israeli territory.
On the morning of September 22, the northern region of Israel was attacked from Lebanon. Many air targets were shot down as a result of the air defense, and fires broke out after the shells fell. This was reported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Reuters.
The IDF said they found about 85 shells that flew from Lebanon into Israeli territory.
“Some of the shells were intercepted, and fallen shells were found in the areas of Kiryat Bialyk, Tsur Shalom and Moreshet,” the statement said.
Additionally, in the morning, “about 20 shells flown in from Lebanon” were discovered in the Jezreel Valley area. The military added that most of them were intercepted by air defenses, while others “fell into the open.” No casualties were reported.
The network published footage of fires in Israel due to shelling today.
According to Reuters, the radical group Hezbollah, which operates in Lebanon, claimed responsibility for the attack. The militants said on their Telegram channel that they attacked the Israeli military-industrial complex in the city of Haifa. The terrorists explained the attack as their “response” to the recent series of explosions of pagers and other communication equipment.

Let’s remember that on September 17, pagers used by Hezbollah militants exploded almost simultaneously in different parts of Lebanon. At least 11 people died, about 4 thousand were injured, and the condition of 400 victims was assessed as critical.
The Israel Defense Forces also reportedly attacked Hezbollah military installations in southern Lebanon, destroying thousands of guns that the terrorists planned to use to invade Israeli territory.
