Europe launched “its whole body” in the production of weapons, and produces one and a half times more than Russia, the head of state said.
European countries are ahead of Russia in the production of weapons. But a quick decision is needed on the transfer of arms to Ukraine. President Vladimir Zelensky said this at a press conference the previous day, Interfax-Ukraine reported on Saturday, September 21.
According to his estimates, there are now 30 major factories in Russia built during the USSR, producing one or another weapon and equipment. And they increase this production, bypassing the sanctions.
“And in Europe, in the European Union, it seems to me, Russia will have 42 more factories in 2024 than European production,” Zelensky said.
He explained that Europe launched “its whole organism” in the production of weapons, and produces one and a half times more than Russia, but Ukraine received less than the Russian Federation.
“This is the 24th year we need quick decisions – now, not later because it will be more difficult for the 30 factories to operate at full capacity and produce the same or more than in Europe, “emphasized.
According to Zelensky, Russia “will become bigger in 2025.” Also, the aggressor country would receive significant military aid from Iran and North Korea.
It was previously reported that Ukraine does not have enough weapons to fully build new brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Correspondent.net studied in detail how to avoid a crisis ahead.
