The first group of Ukrainian pilots completed training in France.
French instructors are training Air Force pilots to fly Alphajet aircraft. The first group of soldiers has completed their training. The French Armed Forces reported this on Twitter on September 20.
France has just completed training the first group of Ukrainian pilots on Alphajet, the report says.
The allies specified that pilot training in France began in March 2024 to meet Ukraine’s operational needs.
As is known, Alphajet is a training aircraft capable of developing a maximum speed of over 1,000 km/h. The flight range of these machines is 3,000 km. A number of European countries have such an aircraft.
Recall that French President Emmanuel Macron said that France intends to transfer its Mirage 2000 fighters manufactured by Dassault to Ukraine and train Ukrainian pilots as part of new Ukrainian-French military cooperation. Paris promised that Ukrainian pilots would be ready to fly these aircraft by the end of the year.
