Zhitomir Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlin convened an extraordinary meeting of the city council today, September 19, to consider the issue of early termination of his powers.
The Zhitomir City Council unanimously supported this decision, reports the publication “Zhitomir.info”.
The decision to resign was made on the initiative of the mayor himself, and he thanked his colleagues for it.
According to sources of the publication “Ukrainska Pravda”, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to appoint Sukhomlin to the post of head of the State Agency for Reconstruction instead of Mustafa Nayem.
Let us recall that on June 10 it became known that Nayem wrote a letter of resignation from the post of head of the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure.
