The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a massive drone attack at night.
On the night of September 19, the enemy attacked with a guided Kh-59/69 air missile from the airspace of the occupied Zaporizhia region, as well as 42 Shahed-type attack UAVs. The launches were made from the Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
The air combat involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units. The defenders of the sky managed to shoot down all 42 Shaheds. And in the eastern direction, the Kh-59/69 missile carriers were destroyed.
Ukrainian air defense operated in the Dnepropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhitomir, Rivne, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Nikolaev and Kherson regions.
The Air Force added that it was not possible to shoot down three S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft missiles that the Russians hit in the Kharkiv region from the Belgorod region.
Let us recall that on the night of September 18, Ukrainian air defense shot down 46 attack UAVs in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Sumy and Poltava regions. Another five drones were lost in location, and one flew to Russia.
