US presidential candidate Donald Trump has hinted at a possible meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The meeting could take place against the backdrop of the Ukrainian leader’s visit to the United States to address the UN Security Council. In recent months, several other world leaders who have visited the United States for high-level meetings have also met with Trump, Reuters reported.
Trump, answering journalists’ questions about whether he would meet with Zelensky, said: “probably yes,” but did not provide any other details.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris plans to meet with Zelensky in Washington next week. It is also noted that Zelensky wants to meet with US President Joe Biden in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly week. The head of state wants to present him with a plan for victory.
As you know, on September 24, Ukrainian President Zelensky will speak at a meeting of the UN Security Council, where the Russian invasion of Ukraine will be discussed.
Recall that on September 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian “victory plan” was already 90% written out. It is planned to be presented to the allies next week.
