The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Palestinian lands.
The resolution demands that Israel end its occupation of Palestinian lands within 12 months. It also calls for the return of territories seized since the occupation began in 1967 and for Palestinians to be allowed to return home.
The resolution was supported by 124 countries, including the Russian Federation. 14 states, including the United States and Israel, were against, and another 43 abstained, including Ukraine.
Israel’s defense minister said a “new phase of the war” was beginning, and the IDF was prepared to concentrate its forces in the north, where Hezbollah operates.
Israel is moving forces to the northern front, the Israeli Defense Minister said. According to him, a new phase of the war is beginning, and the goal is to ensure the safety of the country’s northerners.
The IDF’s 98th Division has already been redeployed north after fighting in the Gaza Strip.
Galant did not comment on the incidents in Lebanon, but media reports of new explosions that have killed at least nine people.
