Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s move to increase the size of his army is a sign of desperate measures. US State Department Speaker Matthew Miller announced this on Tuesday, September 17.
“First of all, it’s another sign of desperate choices,” Miller said.
He added that the economy of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation is now very depleted. In addition, the Russians are paying a huge price to those killed and wounded in the war started by the Kremlin.
“Putin remains prepared to sacrifice the lives of hundreds of thousands of his fellow citizens for the sake of this unnecessary war,” the US State Department spokesman stressed.
