All war crimes of the occupiers will be known only after the complete de-occupation of Ukraine.
It is too early to discuss the exact number of civilians killed in Ukraine at the hands of Russian occupiers. This was announced on Sunday, April 3, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky on the air of the Rada TV channel.
He said that Ukrainian rescuers have begun to clear the liberated territory of the Kiev region from invaders.
“Apart from the bullets, unfortunately, many corpses of dead civilians were found. Rescuers are gradually clearing the area, step by step making paths to some houses. We have not named the number now. of civilian casualties. This number will be measured in the hundreds.
He did not exclude that part of the inhabitants of the Kiev region could be captured by the occupiers. But according to him, it is still difficult to name their exact figure.
“Many local residents consider them missing. Now we do not understand the exact number, but it is also a lot of people. Now it is established, according to the testimony of local residents themselves, who remained and who was kidnapped or tortured. of the Russians, who disappeared and never returned, ”said the minister.
Monastyrsky added that because of people’s testimonies, there is reason to discuss abduction cases. At the same time, according to the testimonies of those who had previously left the Kiev region, it can be assumed that many are still dead.
“They said dozens of people were being kidnapped. They were shooting at houses and windows. Most likely, there in the houses that have not yet been accessed, there were dead civilians as well,” the minister summed up.
Denis Monastyrsky warned that all the war crimes of the occupiers would be known only after the complete de-occupation of Ukraine.
“The atrocities of the rashists in Bucha, Irpen, Gostomel and other communities liberated from occupation are shocking. But you have to be prepared for new fears,” he said.
According to him, now it is important to maintain courage and fortitude, because the liberation of Ukraine from Russian aggression will be very difficult.
“And not only in terms of our strength, but also in terms of the emotions that every house, every broken tank, every dead person sees yielding … It’s all waiting for us,” summed up up Denis Monastyrsky.
After all, some communities in Ukraine are still under the control of occupiers.
“After the opponent is ousted from there, more horrible things could unfold,” the interior minister said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that most of the detained saboteurs were citizens of Ukraine.
