Fighting in Ukraine has continued along the entire front line since the beginning of the day.
Today, 88 battles took place, and a quarter of the combat clashes were recorded in the Kurakhovsky direction – 22 times the Russians tried to advance near Tsukurino, Zhelaemoy Pervyy, Gornyak, Georgievka and Konstantinovka. This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for September 17.
And in the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers made 19 attempts to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their positions in the areas of Grodovka, Novotoretskoye, Orlovka, Nikolaevka and Ukrainskaya. The Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks near Sinkovka, Novoosinovy and Lozovaya in the Kupyansk direction. And in the Liman direction, the Russians made eight attempts to break through, and two more battles are ongoing.
Active battles are also taking place in the Seversky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky and Pokrovsky directions.
The General Staff added that the enemy will continue massive artillery and air strikes on the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Russian aviation also dropped 14 KABs on Ukraine. And the enemy attacked the Kursk region with 17 guided air bombs.
Let us recall that the American Institute for the Study of War stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have resumed positions at the Volchansk Aggregate Plant, as well as in the western part of Mikhailovka in the Pokrovsk direction.
