In the morning, 975 settlements in nine regions were completely or partially without power in Ukraine. Ukrenergo reported this on Tuesday, September 17.
At night, Russian aggressors attacked energy facilities in the Sumy region. The city of Sumy and part of Sumy and Chernigov regions were left without electricity. The power supply should be restored at night.
Also, due to the fighting, there were new power outages in Donetsk, Kherson and Kharkov regions.
Due to bad weather, more than 50 settlements were cut off. Mainly in the Khmelnitsky region, as well as in the Chernigov and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
For technical reasons, consumers in Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Poltava regions were de-energized.
Today, electricity consumption in Ukraine has increased slightly – by 1.2%, but electrical engineers are not planning stabilization shutdowns. At the same time, they ask citizens to save electricity consumption and not turn on some powerful electrical appliances at the same time between 16:00 and 22:00.
Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 16,943 MW-hours, with peak power of up to 1,532 MW in individual hours.
Export is not in progress and is not expected.
We remind you that tonight the Russians launched a massive UAV strike on Sumy and energy facilities in Konotop, Akhtyrsky and Sumy regions. Air defense forces shot down 16 suicide bombers in the Sumy region.
In total, the air defense forces destroyed 34 kamikaze drones out of 51 launched by Russian troops, 12 UAVs were lost in the local area, and two more returned to Russia.
