Estonian acrobat Jaan Rus crossed the Bosphorus on a tightrope, connecting Asia to Europe at a height of 165 meters. TRT Haber reported this.
He covered a distance of 1074 meters in 47 minutes, becoming the first person to complete a transcontinental walk on a tight rope.
The crossing took place on the Martyrs’ Bridge on September 15, and the acrobat noted that the Bosphorus is a unique place due to its cultural importance, natural beauty, difficult weather conditions and strong sea waves.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey together with the Directorate General of Highways.
