Even the ballistic missiles supplied by North Korea to Russia do not create problems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces as the large amount of their ammunition.
Among Russia’s allies, North Korea creates the most problems for Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, at the Yalta European Strategy meeting on Saturday, September 14.
“They provide a large amount of artillery ammunition, which is critical for Russia. After such deliveries, there is an increase in hostilities,” said Budanov.
According to him, from the arrival of the ship from North Korea, it takes eight to nine days for the ammunition to reach the front. Then the Russians used them intensively for two weeks.
“As the head of intelligence, I can directly say: the fact that they provide ballistic missiles there is not satisfactory for us, but it is not the same volumes, but for ammunition, it is critical for us ,” said Budanov.
He noted that the intelligence sees the entire route: the ship’s arrival at the port, unloading, movement by train, and so on.
Previously, South Korean intelligence reported that from mid-2022, North Korea will send 13 thousand sea containers to Russia that can carry weapons.
According to media reports, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin sent North Korean leader Kim Jong-in 24 Oryol trotter horses as partial payment for artillery shells for the war against Ukraine.
