Cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have carried out another DDOS attack on the Russian banking system.
This time, the largest Russian banks were attacked. This was reported today, September 14, by the Ukrinform agency, citing sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate have carried out another DDOS attack on the Russian banking system. As a result of the operation, the largest banking institutions of the aggressor state, which support the activities of the occupation forces from Russia, have been put into operation, the report states.
The cyberattack hit, in particular,:
- “Bank Russia”;
- “Tinkoff Bank”;
- “Gas Bank”;
- Payment system “SBP”.
As a result:
- users in many regions of Russia complain about the blocked operation of online services of financial institutions, the inability to use the “personal account”, the cessation of work of websites and mobile applications of banks;
- Bank clients are unable to make online payments for services.
