On September 13, Russians attacked energy infrastructure in the Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
In particular, in Sumy Oblast, as a result of shelling of the territory of a power facility, equipment and shelter were damaged, and several substations were de-energized. A 54-year-old worker was the victim of the attack. Another seven workers were injured and hospitalized. The Ministry of Energy reported this on September 14 in Telegram.
And in the Zaporizhzhya and Chernihiv regions, as a result of the shelling, overhead lines were switched off. 413 subscribers in six settlements were without power.
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that no power outages are planned today. Ukrainians were urged to continue to consume electricity economically and responsibly, especially during peak hours – from 7:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
Let us recall that on September 12, power outages resumed in Ukraine, so in a number of regions one stage of outages was introduced. The reason for this was the decrease in the efficiency of solar power plants due to cloudy weather and a drop in generation at thermal power plants.
