Ukraine ranks first in the world in terms of mortality, and the birth rate in our country is the lowest among other countries.
This is evidenced by the data from the corresponding report of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
According to the CIA:
- The mortality rate in Ukraine is 18.6 per 1000 people. The lowest mortality rate is in Qatar (1.4 deaths per 1000 people);
- The birth rate in Ukraine is 6 births per 1000 people (228th place in the world). The leader in birth rate is Niger (46.6 per 1000 people).
In terms of mortality rate, Lithuania is in second place (15.02), Serbia is in third place (14.9), Russia is in ninth place with a rate of 14 per 1000 people, Belarus is in tenth place (13.3).
In terms of birth rate, Russia ranks 209th (8.4 per 1000 people), Belarus ranks 210th (8.3 per thousand people).
