Alexander Polozhinsky recorded a track with Taras Petrinenko.
The song is called “Time”. This is the first joint work of the legendary Ukrainian musicians. Its video was published online on September 13.
Alexander Polozhinsky said that last summer, sound producer Vitaly Telezin offered to record one of his songs with him.
At that time, I didn’t have a single creative idea in my head that would suit this proposal. However, in April of this year, a song was born that I thought Vitaly would like. But there was one problem – I wasn’t sure that I could sing the chorus the way I wanted. And most importantly, I had a hard time imagining who could sing it like that.
And then one day I came across Taras Petrinenko’s song “Red Wind” on the Internet. Listening to it, I suddenly realized who I should invite to collaborate. I have known Mr. Taras since Krasnaya Ruta-97, I consider him to be one of the godparents of my professional career, so I hoped that Taras would not refuse the offer to sing together.
But first I voiced the idea and showed the song to Telezin. Vitaly approved everything, Taras also gave his consent – as he said, out of respect for me – and we started working.
A song about something important. About the meaning of life. About values. About the fact that our endurance and unity, our activity and determination are what brings our victory closer. And also a song about people. About not so good ones, about good ones and about the best ones, – wrote Polozhinsky.
