On the night of September 13, 2024, the enemy attacked with 26 Shahed-type attack UAVs.
The Air Force reported that the launch areas were Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation and Chauda – occupied Crimea.
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire group units and electronic warfare of the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 24 enemy attack UAVs within the Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson, Khmelnytsky and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
After the night attack, Odessa residents discovered the wreckage of a Russian drone on the street.
The head of the Odessa OVA Oleg Kiper reported that the enemy attacked with “shaheds” from the temporarily occupied Crimea. The air defense forces conducted active combat work for about an hour.
According to preliminary data, four garages, glass in 20 private houses, four cars and two extensions to residential buildings were damaged as a result of falling debris in Odessa and its suburbs. A 74-year-old man was injured and was found to have a cut wound to his hand. Medics provided assistance on the spot.
Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of another Russian attack on the civilian population of the Odessa region.
