It is illegal to force students to wear school uniform.
The educational ombudsman stated this.
Sergei Gorbachev reported that he has received complaints that students are forced to wear school uniforms in schools. Children are not even allowed to attend classes or are suspended because of their appearance.
War, air raids, almost daily movements to shelters, several hours of power outages affect the psychological state of children. And instead of ensuring the educational process and caring for the safety of children, some teachers carry out checks and “raids” on the appearance of students, violating the law. They put pressure on children, and with systematic comments, they bully the child and, in addition, deprive children of the right to receive an education, the ombudsman wrote.
He called on teachers to stop checking students’ clothes.
Don’t waste your precious time on these unnecessary and illegal things! – Gorbachev noted.
