Police detained a suspect in the beating of a veteran in Smela.
28-year-old Vadim Dolotenko was hiding in one of the hotels in the Cherkasy region.
In the near future, the court will choose a measure of restraint for him; the investigation is petitioning for detention.
In addition, searches were conducted at his place of residence, as a result of which, preliminarily, narcotics and weapons were seized.
Dolotenko’s “apologies” to military personnel are already being posted on social networks.
In connection with the beating of a veteran in the city of Smela in the Cherkasy region, the police are conducting an investigation into criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons) and Part 4 of Article 189 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (extortion), under which the defendant was declared a suspect in a procedural manner on September 10.
