According to the State Statistics Service, the prices of food and non-alcoholic drinks increased by 0.9% in August. The prices that increased the most were eggs – by 7.1% and vegetables – by 5.2%. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 0.8%, while prices for clothing and footwear decreased by 2.9%. Housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel increased by 0.2%. The price of education increased by 0.3%, the price of restaurants and hotels increased by 1.5%.
The US introduced new sanctions against Russia and Iran
