According to the faction leader New unity in the Latvian parliament of Edmunds Jurevics, the coalition “agreed in concept” to introduce restrictions in the country for Russian citizens following Finland’s example.
“Together with coalition partners and experts, we will examine how best to legally limit the ability of Russian citizens to buy real estate in Latvia,” he said.
For the decision to take effect, a decision of the Latvian Parliament is required.
